Jacob "Jake" Martin Spencer is the son of Jason Morgan and Elizabeth Webber. He was born on May 4, 2007. She has three siblings, an older maternal half-brother Cameron Webber and younger maternal half-brother Aiden Spencer. As well as a younger paternal brother Daniel "Danny" Morgan. At the time that Elizabeth became pregnant with Jake, it was unknown if Jake was Jason's child of Elizabeth's then husband Lucas Lorenzo "Lucky" Spencer Jr.

In the fall 2006, Elizabeth and his husband Lucky's marriage was having troubles as Lucky was addicts to pain killers and was having an affair with Mariah Maxmiliana "Maxie" Jones as she was supplying him with pain killers. Elizabeth walk in on Lucky and Maxie having sex and run off the house. Elizabeth headed off to friend Jason. Jason head seen his long-time love Samantha "Sam" McCall sleeping with Richard "Ric" Lansing. Elizabeth and Jason both hurting from seeing their loved one sleep with someone else end up having a one night stand. The next morning, the two agree that it was a mistake and wouldn't happen again.
A few weeks later, Jason and Sam are back together when Elizabeth learns that she is pregnant. She is unsure if Jason or Lucky is the father of her child. Elizabeth's pregnancy is soon revealed. Jason questions Elizabeth if he is the father and Elizabeth tells him that Lucky is the father of the baby. After learning that Elizabeth is pregnant, Lucky vows to get clean and heads off to rehab. While in rehab, Elizabeth does a paternity test that reveals that Jason is the father of her child but doesn't tell anyone because she wants Lucky to stay clean.
Months later, Elizabeth and Jason end up trapped together during a hostage crisis and Elizabeth reveals to Jason that he is her unborn child's biological father. Elizabeth doesn't want Jason to claim his as she fears for it's safety because of Jason's mob lifestyle. Jason agrees to allow everyone to believe that Lucky is the child's father for it's safety. Elizabeth and Lucky's relationship remains rocky over the rest of Elizabeth's pregnancy.
On May 4, 2007, Elizabeth goes into labour and passes out while trying to call for help. Jason stops by to check on her and finds her passed out of the father. Jason rushes her to the hospital. Jason watches as their son is delievered via emergency c-section. But Elizabeth the baby are in trouble at the time of the birth. The baby isn't wasn't breathing but he is saved. Shortly after the birth, Elizabeth falls into a coma. Before she does she makes Jason promise to tell Lucky the truth if she isn't going to wake up. Elizabeth however awakens a short time later. Elizabeth names the child Jacob Martin Spencer. Elizabeth reveals to Jason that she wanted that baby to have his initials "JM" because he can't have his last name.
Elizabeth and Lucky get remarry. Jason and Sam's relationship breaks up and shortly there after Sam learns Jake's true paternity. In November 2007, Elizabeth and Lucky's marriage breaks up with Sam reveals to Lucky that Jason is Jake's father. Lucky agrees to continue to be Jake's father to protect Jake. Following the two couple's break-ups, Jason has a secret relationship with Elizabeth while Lucky dates Sam. Neither relationship last and Jason returns to Sam. Elizabeth briefly reunits with Lucky and becomes engaged. However, Elizabeth has an affair wih Lucky's half-brother Nikolas Cassadine. Elizabeth becomes pregnant and once again is unsure of who the father is. A DNA tes is run and it reveals Nikolas to be father. This ends Elizabeth and Lucky's relationship for good.
2010's:[]
Elizabeth along with Cameron and Jake move in with Nikolas and his son Spencer Cassadine. The relationship doesn't work because Elizabeth wants to be back together Lucky. On July 19, 2010, Elizabeth gives birth to son Aiden. After the birth Elizabeth heads out of town with Cameron, Jake and Aiden in toe to visit her sister Sarah Webber. Elizabeth returns to town a few months later to find both Nikolas and Lucky dating other people.
Elizabeth begins to believe that Aiden is really Lucky's son and not Nikolas so she has a secret DNA test done. The test arrive in March 2011 and while she is ready the DNA test that comfirms that Lucky is Aiden's father, Jake heads outside and is head by a car. He is rushed to the hosptial and heads it surgery. Jake is decleared brain dead and put on life support. Josslyn Jacks, the daughter of Jasper "Jax" Jacks and Caroline "Carly" Benson (Jason's best friend) is in need of a kidney. Lucky and Elizabeth agree to donate Jake's organs and a tranplant is preformed to save Josslyn. Jake dies on March 18, 2011. It is revealed that Lucky's father Lucas Lorenzo "Luke" Spencer Sr. unknowing driving drunk hit Jake. A few months later, Lucky leaves town.
In summer 2015, Lucky learns that Jake might be alive. Lucky heads to Cassadine Island with his parents Luke and Laura. The group finds Jake alive and well having been held by Helena Cassadine. Helena faked Jake's death in order to mess with Luke. Luke, Laura and Lucky leave the island with Jake and head for Port Charles. Lucky reunites Jake with Elizabeth. Jake bonds with Elizabeth's boyfriend Jacob "Jake" Doe, an amnesic who is really Jason with a new face. Elizabeth knows the truth about who Jason really is but is keep it from Jason so that he will stay with her and not return to his wife Sam and their son Danny. Elizabeth and Jason get engaged but on the day of their wedding Jason's true identiy is revealed to everyone. Jason choose to remain with Elizabeth and the boys and to divorce Sam.
About a month later, Jason and Elizabeth split up when he learns that she knew who he was for months and didn't tell him. Jake doesn't take this well and begins acting out. Accidents start happen and Jake blames Sam. It soon becomes clear that Jake is trouble and Jason and Elizabeth start sending Jake to Psychiatrist Dr. Andre Maddox. Andre has Jake starts therapy and then has art therapy with Franco Baldwin. Elizabeth grow close to Franco so soon starts dating him even through Jason hates him. Jake also makes up with Sam and he is present at the wedding of Jason and Sam. In February 2017, Jason and Sam welcome a daughter Emily "Scout" Scout Morgan. Later that year, Elizabeth and Franco move in together which pleases Jake has he has taken a real liking to Franco.
Things are thrown up in the air in October 2017, when a man that looks Jason but has his old face. On December 1, 2017 is revealed that the man with Jason's old face is Jason and the the one who has been in town the last three year is Jason's twin brother Andrew "Drew" Cain.
